Palazzo Grassi is a palace located in the San Marco district of Venice, Italy. It was built in the 18th century and was originally the home of the Grassi family, a wealthy and influential family in Venice.

Today, Palazzo Grassi is a museum and is home to a collection of contemporary art. Opened in 2006 and 2009, Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana are the two contemporary art museums of the Pinault Collection in Venice.

Restored by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, they alternate between group and monographic exhibitions.

The vocation of Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana is to share with the public the knowledge and love of contemporary art, particularly through the extraordinary Pinault Collection, and to deepen the privileged relationship it has developed with artists through the creation of works especially conceived for its spaces.

From May 2013, the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi reinforces this extensive artistic and cultural programming. Conceived by Tadao Ando, this 225-seat auditorium offers an intense calendar of events - lectures, concerts, screenings - and emphasizes the desire to establish a dialogue with Venetian and international audiences.
