Silvia (Cloto Acherontia) is an Italian Tattoo artist. After being graduated in Art degree in Bologna, she moved to London and started practicing tattooing.

Silvia has been tattooing in the UK for several years, and now she focuses on a colorful pop-culture inspired style, reminding a nostalgic feeling of our childhood’s video games and comics.

Her impressive skill in drawing is probably her biggest value in her tattoo: managing the colours in a tattoo requires a long experience, since the results are completely different compared on paper or photoshop.

The skill of managing different colours reminds me a lot the different color profiles of monitors, printers and cameras that I use for photography: the tattooer must decode and translate the ink colours into a kind of “tattoo color profile” to obtain the requested tattoo.
