東京
Tokyo is one of the most populous and extensive cities in the world; some of the areas that we all know or have heard about often correspond to actual special municipalities, with their own local government and a certain autonomy of administrative management, reporting to the Tokyo metropolitan government, such as Shinjuku or Shibuya; in total there are 23 special districts in the capital.
Others are simply well-defined areas, either historic or born in more modern times, that have developed over the decades their own characteristic, something that makes them recognizable by touch; examples are Asakusa, home of the Sensoji temple and a quintessential historic district; Harajuku, an eccentric neighborhood where some of Japan's most extravagant fashions were born and developed; Akihabara, the district of electronics and everything related to anime, manga, and video games; or Odaiba, the man-made island home to the giant Gundam, several shopping malls, and with one of the city's most beautiful views.
Actually, months and months of staying in Tokyo would not be enough to be able to discover all the atmosphere, attractions, sights and fantasy that these bring with them (wow, I really like Tokyo); nevertheless, let's see which are the most famous Tokyo neighborhoods that definitely need a visit during one of your trips to Japan.
